Join the Panic Point Team!
Yes, it is October, and we have a full roster, but we accept applications for Haunt Actors year-round. The two main qualifications for scaring people are Enthusiasm, and Energy. Haunting is hard work! Acting experience is a big plus, but not required.
Even if we don’t have an opening right now, we will audition a limited number of Haunters on November 1st, December 13th, and March 14th. Nov 1 is the second-to-last show. Friday the 13th of December is the Yuletide Nightmare. Friday the 14th of March is the Panic on St. Pats (near St. Pat’s to be exact).
Paid positions begin at age 17 for Haunt Actors. If you are 15 or 16 you can apply as a volunteer. If you are 14 or younger…we look forward to getting an application from you in the future.
Haunt Actor applicants: Please watch the video below before you submit your application.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Haunt Actor:
Do you leap from hiding places to scare people just for a rush and a laugh? Are you down with assuming a horrifying alter-ego, complete with a killer costume and macabre makeup? Do you want to be a star on an elite spectral squad bent on delivering the perfect haunted experience? Us too! As a Haunter at Panic Point, we’ll match your talents and style with one of our amazing scenes, where you will perfect your role as a professional scarer, helping us weave our tapestry of terror all season long! Great Haunters get a burst of energy from the screams they hear after a well-executed scare. That energy carries them through long nights, sore muscles, cold temps, mean patrons, etc.
Makeup Artist:
In 2023, our team of six artists performed their art on roughly 70 characters per night. The goal is maximum quality in a short time frame. From creepy dolls, to swamp zombies, to haunted hillbillies, you will complete 12 looks over a 3 hour timeframe (one look every 15 minutes on average). Experience with an airbrush is a huge plus, but not required. You need to be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to last-minute changes in personnel and scene assignments. Its a blast! We will have just a couple openings for Makeup Artist this year.
Ticket Taker:
At each attraction Facilitators check tickets & release the victims into the attractions. Counters track the numbers to ensure the pacing is steady and not too fast or too slow. Line Leaders bring it all together giving instructions to patrons, while keeping an eye on the pacing, and periodically reporting the numbers to Crystal (She’s our Ticket / Merch / Concessions Manager).
Concessions/Merch Booth:
Panic Point has two food & beverage stops, The Concession Trailer and the new Sweets & Treats building. You’ll stock, prep, warm & serve food, take payment, and clean. The Merch Booth has shirts, hats, stickers, and various other memorabilia. You’ll facilitate those exchanges also sell tickets to Carnival Games & The Carny Crypt.
Parking ($15 per hour):
Don the vest and wave in the traffic! This crew manages to help fill and empty a huge lot with over 1,000 total vehicles on some nights. You’ll be in touch with the Parking Crew through walkie talkies. With patron arrival times every 30 minutes, you’ll stay busy all night long, and you’ll get your steps in, for sure.
Operations Support:
These are the jack of all trades personnel who keep things running smoothly in the Midway. Nightly tasks include prepping the venue, maintaining two fire pits, minor repairs, supporting customers and other staff, removing trash, and shutting down after we close.
Customer Surveillance and Safety (18 & Older):
These positions are mostly inside of the four walking attractions. You’ll be in plain clothes observing the show and reporting anything out of the ordinary to Dan (Head of Security) so he can determine what action needs to be taken.
Hayride Driver ($20 per hour. Experience Preferred):
Pull trailer with 28 souls aboard through a wooded road with tunnels and turns. The show timing is based on your pace, planned stops, and pre recorded audio tracks. You need to be comfortable driving a trailer and confident of its dimensions, which is reflected in the pay.
PAY
With the exception of Parking ($15 per hour) and Hayride Driver ($20 per hour), Staff who are 16 & older, and Haunters who are 17 & older will be paid a guaranteed hourly rate of between $8 and $11, plus a bonus. Age, Panic Point experience, and past performance will determine what the starting rate is. At the end of the season we will add a bonus to the base pay based on performance factors and the total number of patrons who came through. Volunteers will not receive base pay, but will be eligible for this bonus. We will share additional information at your interview, but prefer not to go into greater detail than this on a public web page. We can say we feel our pay is highly competitive in the industry.
