How many North Carolina Haunted Houses are giving these kinds of updates? We’re all about detail, and pleasing the people (or person) reading our blog right now. Its all part of our effort to be the best haunted house in Raleigh/Durham. The Haunted Forest received a lumber delivery today from Galliher & Huguely. We posted a few pictures on our FB page. Very exciting stuff. With the main trail cut our attention has turned to the dark walk. Raking is just the beginning. Removing roots from the forest floor and filling in holes is the real work. I came across some hoofprints and dung on the trail today. I can only assume it is from trolls (or unicorns). As I was pulling away, exhausted from the three hours of hard labor I put in, Tyler Huband and Alec Winterton pulled up to pitch in. Huge!
Building the Haunt
Haunted Trail is cut!!
After four grueling days of laying out and raking the terrain, the path for the Haunted Trail is completely cut out within the forest. The trail will take you up and down through the woods and even over a creek bed twice. Plenty of haunts will be in store during this approximate 1/2 mile trail through the forest. On to the Dark Walk next!!
All Systems GO for Halloween 2011
The Haunted Forest at Panic Point is right on schedule. On March 8th, 2011 the Youngsville Town Council unanimously approved our application to build and operate our haunt. Now the real work begins. Becoming the King of all North Carolina Haunted Houses will take thousands of hours and some slightly deranged minds. Fortunately, we are up to the task. Check back frequently for pictures and updates to see the progress of the newest haunted attraction in the triangle.
