Friday, April 22 – It was cloudy but not overtly threatening. The Panic Point Haunted bus needed a paint job and we had the crew to make it happen. A lot of excited teenagers with access to brushes and enormous amounts of black paint. What could go wrong? Well, nobody fell off the bus, and nobody painted somebody else’s head. And, after a delicious Hardee’s lunch, we were finishing up the roof and starting on the second coat when a few light drops started to fall. “Maybe we should put a tarp over this thing.” The paint was still pretty wet and the rain got a little stronger. Then we were scrambling as gray lines of water started running down the side of the bus. The result – our makeshift bus cover tarp type thing. We’ll finish this week – gotta love the black.
